Here you will find several tutorials and materials covering the basics of 3D Studio Max. All material can be downloaded in Microsoft Word document format in addition to .max files (for tutorials). These materials were created for a course of the same name currently being delivered in the Ministry of Education’s Teacher Training Centre (by yours truly). http://www.oman3d.com/tutorials/3ds/: This website/blog is run and maintained by a group of Omani designers and has many articles and tutorials in 3ds max and other multimedia applications.

http://abobadr.net/: A good Arabic resource for 3ds max with tutorials and a forum. Although all of the tutorials use very old versions of 3ds max, all the techniques and options are still found in the later versions of the programme.
